Welcome to the blog of Noele and Mario Illien. We are a Swiss father-daughter team taking part in the 5th Peking Paris Motor Challenge 2013. Our starting number is #46 and we will be driving a 1955 Citroen Traction Avant. Starting on the 28th of May in Peking, China, 96 classic cars from 26 countries will drive thousands of kilometres before arriving in Paris on the 29th of June. Said to be the “toughest motoring challenge” the route will cover 8 countries and all types of terrain that these cars were not intended to be driven on. From camping in the Gobi dessert, to driving down the Champs-Elysées, this is sure to be quite an adventure which will push our driving skills (and relationship) to the limit! We are going to do our best to keep regular updates but our internet connection is likely to be shaky at times.
